It’s hard to believe that there are a handful of occasions when a dance was given a 10 by Craig but not by one of the other judges (and by handful we mean five times to be precise).

There was the time Danny & Oti danced an American Smooth (Series 14) which scored 3 10s (including 1 from Craig) but Darcey awarded a 9.

Then when Ricky & Natalie performed their Showdance (Series 7), Darcey again gave a lower score (9) than Craig and the other 3 judges (10s).

On three more occasions it was Len scoring lower than other judges. First, he gave Alesha & Matthew’s Waltz a 9 (Series 5) after a 10 from Craig; then in Series 6 Austin and Erin’s Paso received 10 from Craig (and Arlene and Bruno) but 8 from Len.

However, the biggest discrepancy came in Series 8 when 3 judges including Craig gave Kara & Artem’s American Smooth a 10, which only managed a 7 from Len. No tens from Len on these occasions!

So there you go folks – if you look at the data, it appears Craig isn’t always the meanest scorer! And admit it – we all love him exactly the way he is don’t we!?! 😉
