If you loved Tyler and Diane’s Jive to ‘Hit the Road Jack’ (Series 20, Wk 2) as much as I did you might be interested to know that this is the third appearance for this song on the show.

Jivin’ to it previously back in 2005 (Series 3) were Fiona Phillips and Brendan Cole (scoring 16) and later in 2010 (Series 8) Scott Maslen and Natalie Lowe topped the judges’ scores with an impressive 39.

The track was written by Percy Mayfield and recorded by Ray Charles in 1961 where it topped the US chart. Buster Poindexter’s version was recorded in 1989 and was the one cited for Tyler and Diane’s 1920s-inspired Jive this week.
