There’s no right answer to this question as we all have our own favourite routine.
At the time of writing, the show has seen exactly 100 perfect routines, 91 have scored 40, 3 have scored 50 and 6 scored 30 in 2020.
But is the best dance a perfect-scoring one?
An online public vote for the 2020 Christmas Strictly special counted down the most memorable Strictly routines from 25 to 1, and the people’s winner 5 years ago was Jay and Aliona’s Week 3 Pulp Fiction Jive to ‘You Never Can Tell/Misirlou’, which they danced in Week 3 of Series 13 (2015) and scored 37 points for.
There’s been a few more outstanding turns on the dancefloor since then, but with 8.5 million views on YouTube (Rose & Giovanni’s 2021 Couple’s Choice has 3.3 million), this routine remains one of the most iconic ever.
