Karen Hardy
Karen Hardy (born 14 July 1970) is a British professional ballroom dancer, coach, teacher and adjudicator. In 1998, she won the professional International Latin American Dance Championship with Bryan Watson. She also won the United Kingdom Open, British National, European and World Masters championships.

Karen's facts and stats
- Karen was the first female pro to receive a 10 from Craig; this was for her Salsa with Mark in the S4 Final in 2006
- This makes Karen the first pro to achieve a perfect Salsa score; to date, the only other female pro to achieve a perfect Salsa is Lauren, who achieved this with JB in the S22 Semi-Final
- Between S2-S7, one couple was eliminated in Week 1 of the show; in 2007 it was Karen’s turn to be sent home first when she danced a Waltz with actor Brian Capron, which scored 18 points. This saw Karen take part in the first ever dance-off, losing out to Kenny & Ola by 3 votes to 1
- S4 (2006) saw the introduction of the Argentine Tango routine to the Semi-Final; Mark & Karen were awarded the highest score of the night (39) for their performance to Tina Turner’s “Goldeneye”
